The Cultural and Creative Industries are becoming increasingly important. They are a reflection of our society’s creativity, identity, diversity and values, and are fundamental in reinventing reflection on ideas, transmission, entertainment and heritage management. This is why the Cultural and Creative Industries represent a significant part of today’s economy. According to data from the Basque Observatory of Culture, the culture and creativity sector makes a significant contribution to the Gross Domestic Product, accounting for 4%, for example, in 2019 (Basque Observatory of Culture, 2019). The Cultural and Creative Industries are also an important driving force in job creation: it is estimated that there were 33,983 workers in the sector in 2022, accounting for 3.84% of the workforce (Basque Government, 2022).
