Training Activities
The PhD Programme in Advanced Management of Organisations and Social Economy includes organised aspects of research training that do not require structuring in ECTS credits and comprise both cross-disciplinary and field-specific training, although, in any case, the essential activity of the doctoral student will be research. The aim of research training is to ensure the acquisition of doctoral-level skills to facilitate the development and dissemination of original research.
In order to guarantee the acquisition of the skills proposed in this PhD Programme, a set of training activities is proposed, taking into account the time commitment required of doctoral students, as well as the material and human resources available to carry them out. These activities are organised into two groups:
1. Cross-disciplinary training programme
2. Specific training programme
PhD students, together with their thesis supervisors, must draw up a general plan of the training activities to be carried out during the duration of the doctoral thesis. Students may also carry out other training activities outside the scope of this PhD Programme, always with the approval of their supervisor.
1. Cross-disciplinary training:
Provides doctoral students with disciplinary and methodological knowledge for the development of the basic competencies, abilities and skills described above. This training is useful regardless of the line of research and the subject of study. It will be delivered in different formats, such as seminars, courses, workshops, conferences, etc.
The following are the Transversal Training courses for the 2025/26 academic year:

Other activities to be carried out throughout the PhD:
Each PhD student must complete three non-formal training activities throughout the doctoral programme. In addition, one of the activities must be the publication of an article in indexed journals or journals with indicators of quality. This is mandatory for all new students and, retroactively, for students who, as of 2019/20, were enrolled in Year 1 of the PhD Programme.
Activities include the following:
