The Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences is a cooperative faculty that forms part of Mondragon University. Our work team consists of 150 professionals and the faculty serves more than 1,700 students at different stages in their studies. We are rooted in the Basque Country and watch the world attentively from our campuses in Bilbao, Eskoriatza and Aretxabaleta. We are an organization that will face future contexts prepared to accompany people in their research-based lifelong learning processes. We are ready to respond to challenges. We are pioneers in educational innovation and cooperativism, and we are part of a broad social ecosystem beyond the faculty: educational institutions, media, cooperativism, etc.

We at the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences are involved in teaching, consulting, research and research transfer; we are an organization for social transformation based on teaching practices. We are active agents in the above-mentioned fields and we adapt constantly in order to respond to social challenges. Our approach is to adapt existing tools and design new ones to address new challenges; this strengthens participation and commitment and promotes solidarity practices.

The professionals of the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences are part of a shared project and our work is an expression of our commitment to people, to the profession and to society. We are working together in this constantly evolving task. Mutual trust, closeness, the well-being of each individual and flexibility are the essential pillars in our daily lives upon which we construct the plans and pathways for professional development of the members of our faculty.
