  • Erik Isusquiza is working at ULMA developing an innovative portable solution for carrying out retinographies in primary care. The device designed contains software based on artificial intelligence and allows simple and automatic detection of various types of injuries of the retina in its initial stages. The flexible and portable solution that they provide speeds up the process of detection of injuries and allow mass screening of the population to be carried out.
  • The Cybersurgery company for which Elene Beitia works is developing a surgical assistant for operations on the spinal column. This robot allows the surgeon to carry out more precise work and a minimally invasive operation for the patient. Elena is responsible for carrying out the computer simulations and for the regulations on electronic devices in the laboratories.
  • Antxon Arregi works at the Kiro-Griffols company and he carries out implementation and fine tuning of robots in hospital pharmacies. The robots are responsible for precision dispensing of cancer treatments, minimising as far as possible the errors and risks to which workers in this section were exposed.
