VII ORIENTAGUNE CONFERENCE
How have students experienced the situation of confinement by COVID-19?
The COVID-19 pandemic turned our daily lives upside down. There is no doubt about the complexity of the transition from high school to university and, in the case of young people who make the leap to university that year, this complexity has been accentuated due to the new situation created by COVID-19: they have had to take the EBAU under special conditions and with a lot of uncertainty.
It has become clearer than ever how important it is, in these conditions, to develop personal characteristics, which are the ones that will help us move forward in complex situations.
At Mondragon University we have consciously decided to work on these personal characteristics with our students.
But how do you do that?
In the 7th edition of the Orientagune conference this topic was discussed. 34 people participated in the conference as listeners through the Zoom platform with simultaneous translation service.
Between 10 and 11 a.m., Iñaki Larrea presented the Mondragon University Mendeberri 2025 educational model on which the University has relied even more strongly during the months of confinement.
In the second part of the program we have had the participation of Nekane Errasti, Aitziber Arregi, Mikel Mesonero and Alex Beitia, academic coordinators of Mondragon Unibertsitatea and Idoia Alvira, Leyre Jauregi, Ibane Kapelastegi and Eneritz Arce, all students from the different faculties of the university. Jon Altuna, Academic Vice-Rector of the University of Mondragon, led the round table in which the aforementioned participants took part.
The video below shows the recording of the session.
